Beyond the experiences of your colleagues there is a wealth of opinion accessible through magazine reviews and articles as well as usenet news groups that focus on your area of interests. In these news groups seasoned professionals and hobbyist alike can share information in an open forum. For us in the pro audio industry one such news group is r.a.p (rec.audio.production) where we all seemed to have started.
