Older 40dB Micpre built at the VTL factory 1990-1993

Originally the Phantom Switch was a rotary knob. They often break. The unit above has had its rotary switch replaced by a toggle switch.

This is what the guts of the VTL-built MANLEY 40dB Microphone Preamplifiers looked like.

That's a SOWTER input transformer. This unit has had a few factory mods put on such as 
2K7 phantom current limit resistor, little phantom cap on the switch, and conversion to Pin 2 HOT.
